Definition

The word Tabaholic is used to describe a person who consistently browses the web with a bevy of tabs open. Tabaholics can have anywhere from 20-500 tabs open in multiple browsers at a time.[1] Many Tabaholics report that their ability to complete tasks is stunted by the number of tabs they have open, and that the number of tabs represent a large amount of information they would like to digest.

Tabaholicism is the equivalent of hoarding, and it is much easier to do online because a screen can easily fill up with tabs. In the analog world, it takes significant effort to fill up one's house with books or newspaper articles. Book hoarding is a slower form of Tabaholicism.
