Overview

The term Spime is a newly coined term created by science fiction author Bruce Sterling to describe the convergence of six emerging technologies that would allow an object to be completely tracked through conception to end of life and eventual disassembly. The term Spime was first introduced in Sterling's book Shaping Things.[1]
