The Cybercast System - Low Cost, High-Speed Data Broadcasting

En Technology Corporation offers a complete system for broadcasters, cable operators, show producers, software publishers and content providers to transmit all types of digital data at extremely high speeds through existing television signals. En's Cybercast System will have a significant impact on the marketing, sales and distribution of all types of information that can be viewed or used on a computer.

En's Cybercast System, originally unveiled under the code-name "Malachi," uses the speed, bandwidth and universal availability of the analog television signal to distribute data. The end user component, En's TVModem, works with virtually 100 percent of all IBM-compatible personal computers in use today as well as all new models. TVModems are affordable, with models retailing for $100 to $150.

There are two versions of the TVModem: The TVM-100 and the TVM-100T, both internal ISA cards. Products under development include an external PC device, a video overlay version and a Macintosh version.

To receive data, users connect a computer installed with a TVModem directly to an antenna or cable outlet. The non-tuner version, The TVM-100, links to either a video cassette recorder or television via a basic connecting cable that is provided. Once installed, any data being broadcast through an over-the-air television signal, or through a satellite or cable system can be received by end users.

While viewing data-enhanced programming, TVModem users can select and receive promotional, informational or educational data. Data can include software, computer games, Internet web pages, interactive magazines, photos, graphics, and multimedia information services including up-to-date news, weather, and sports.

En Technology is partnering with numerous companies to launch these services throughout 1996 and 1997. Explore our site and learn more about what Cybercast can do, and contact us if you need more information.

P.S. - While our web site is small (no larger than 500k), and can be downloaded in a reasonable amount of time, you've undoubtedly experienced the frustration of downloading larger, more presumptuous sites. A site that's three megabytes in size would typically take you 40 minutes to download (depending upon how busy it is) with a 14.4 kbps modem. En's Cybercast System, however, can deliver that same site in under 15 seconds!
