Biography

Amber Case is a Cyborg Anthropologist and the founder of Geoloqi, Inc., a company bringing the future of location to the world. She studies the interaction between humans and computers and how our relationship with information is changing the way cultures think, act, and understand their worlds.

Case has spoken at various industry conferences including MIT's Futures of Entertainment and Inverge: The Interactive Convergence Conference, Ignite Portland and Ignite Boulder. She presented an Introduction to Cyborg Anthropology at Portland's Webvisions 2009 and Gnomedex 9.0 and Keynoted Portland's Open Source Bridge with a speech on Cyborg Citizens. She's been a guest lecturer at Lewis & Clark College, Pacific Northwest College of Art and Oregon State University’s School of Continuing Education.

Case formerly worked at Wieden+Kennedy, a global advertising agency based in Portland, Oregon. In 2010 she was named one of Fast Company's Most Influential Women in Tech. National Geographic Magazine named her a 2012 Emerging Explorer, and she was featured as one of Inc.com's "[www.inc.com/30under30/christine-lagorio/amber-case-and-aaron-parecki-founders-of-geoloqi.html 30 under 30]". Case founded Geoloqi.com, a platform for next generation location, to bring the future of location to the world.
