Definition
Future Shock is a term coined by futurist and sociologist Alvin Toffler to describe the psychological and physiological effects that occur when the base of a culture moves faster than the ideological superstructure it causes cultural anxiety.[1] A cultural disconnect. More narrowly it is understood that new technology is outpacing the understanding of it that can occur. It melts into everyday life and pushes it forward.
