Asynchronous communication describes the act of communicating with another person using pauses and storing communication in external devices such as phones, text, or letters. Unlike Synchronous communication, where one part of the conversation is related back to the other in real time, asynchronous communication can be carried out over long periods of time, through generations, and great distances, or simply over small moments on digital devices.
