Definition
Asynchronous communication describes the act of communicating with another person using pauses and storing communication in external devices such as phones, text, or letters. Whereas synchronous communication is concerned with messages that are sent and received in real time, asynchronous communication can be carried out over long periods of time, through generations and great distances, or simply over small moments on digital devices.
