===Biography===
After graduation from the Rhode Island School of Design with a BFA in Industrial Design in 1989, Bill, Terrazign's president and principal designer, worked as a designer in Nike's Advanced Engineering Group on both footwear and apparel for five years. He started Terrazign, Inc. in 1994, specializing in collapsible structures, the non-conventional application of fabrics, and mixed-use of soft and hard goods. Products include semi-rigid backpacks, hydrationsystems, disposables for bio-technology, transportation enclosures, and event environments.

Clients include Nike, Segway, NASA, Gerber Blades, Malden Mills, and Ziba Design. In 2005 Susanna Hohmann joined Terrazign as a junior designer. She has a Master degree in Architecture from Rice University and an intrest in working with wool felt.

In addition to [[Terrazign]], Bill transformed an old warehouse in Portland's industrial district into an environment where small design-centric companies can collaborate while running independent businesses. Within this community, Terrazign's studio encompasses a 10,000-square-foot shop used exclusively for building prototypes. The shop is an integral part of Bill's "hands-on" aproach to the design and development of new products.
